Reminder: You may apply to the Massachusetts Developmental Disabilities Council to be reimbursed for attending one program/event per year up to a maximum of $500. Please see the Council Empowerment Funds Program for more details.
YouthCare (a therapeutically-based program of the Massachusetts General Hospital) serves children and adolescents with social cognitive deficits such as Asperger’s syndrome, non-verbal learning disabilities and high functioning autism.

AMC Entertainment and the Autism Society offer families affected by autism and other disabilities a monthly opportunity to enjoy films in a safe and accepting environment with the "Sensory Friendly Films" program. Movie auditoriums will have their lights up and the sound turned down, families may bring their own gluten-free, casein-free snacks, and no previews or advertisements will be shown. Audience members may dance, walk, shout or sing. Tickets are $4-6 depending on location and can be purchased on the day of the event.

AFTER SCHOOL/SATURDAY RESPITE, SOCIAL EVENINGS, AFTER SCHOOL AND OTHER PROGRAMS

Saturday Night Live is a social event for special needs teens and adults. It is an atmosphere that fosters independence and promotes long lasting friendships. The parties are held once per month. It is a fun night and a great experience to get out with your friends and have a blast.
Ages: 16+ Cost: $15.00 Time: 6pm-9pm
