Meeting called to order: 7:10 pm

In Attendance: Suzanne Peyton, Susan Linehan, Lee Berkowitz, Pam Weir, Alan Bloom, Margy Davidson, Sheri Rader, Mark Baron

Secretary's Report

The minutes were accepted as read.

Correspondence: A thank you letter was received from Linda Salon for the gift of The Brand New Kid book by Katie Couric presented to the Children's Center and other school libraries. We will send out letters to the School Committee and local media announcing our gifts to the schools.

The Lions Club has donated $200.00 to SSEPAC to purchase books for our resource library.

Treasurer's Report

No report this month. Both month's reports will be presented at the next meeting.

Old Business 

Sue and Mark recently met with Bob Doyle. At this year's Appreciation Awards Ceremony all nominations must be accompanied with a specific example of why the person is being nominated. They also discussed setting up step-by-step instructions for parents new to the school system and the Department of Education audit.

Workshops: ADD/ADHD Workshop is scheduled for November 28 at the Middle School.

2001: Special Education Odyssey, a workshop presented by the Disability Law Center is scheduled for January 23, 2001 at the Middle School.

The workshop on Assistive Technology is scheduled for March 6, 2001.

New Business

We will distribute the Toys R Us Toy Guide for the Differently Abled around town.

The reimbursement rates for TEAM evaluations have been established by the state. They are at: www.state.ma.us/dhcfp.

Project Eye-to-Eye: Brown University has a program started by Jonathan Mooney where students with disabilities can interact and have activities with Elementary school children with similar disabilities.

Next General Meeting December 5, 2000 at the High School, 7:00 PM.
