Minutes of February 6, 2001 MeetingHeld at Sue Linehan's House, 7-9 PMMeeting called to order: 7:05 pm In Attendance: Susan Linehan, Lee Berkowitz, Pam Weir, Sheri Rader, Mark Baron, Alan Bloom, Stacey Simons Secretary's ReportThe minutes were left to review for next meeting. Correspondence: A letter was received from Verizon to do a presentation of the services they offer for the hearing impaired. Treasurer's ReportBalances as of 2/7/01 were: Checking: $1727.29 Savings: $1731.26 A check for $27.66 will be received from amazon.com for the 5% rebate we get from referrals when sales are made by clicking through to them from our website. Old BusinessSheri Rader and Pam Weir will chair the fundraisers and handle the bulb sales. Appreciation awards A letter will be sent to the principals explaining the goal and the nominees for the awards. 4/24/01 is the ceremony. Three nominations have been received already. Suzanne Peyton has volunteered to moderate the award ceremony. Nominations close March 10. SSEPAC's future plans Out of 500 flyers sent out only one volunteer responded. Mark and Sue will contact people for specific tasks. It was suggested that we break SSEPAC into 8 committees. Library, membership and recruitment, workshops, etc. Assistive Tech workshop March 6, 2001 New BusinessAppreciation awards are on April 24. The deadline for submitting nomination forms is March 10, 2001. Other BusinessAlan Bloom has been attempting to correlate the workshop registration forms to try to find a more user friendly format. It has been difficult to read and understand the forms. Next General Meeting April 3, 2001. Meeting adjourned at 9:10 PM |
