Meeting called to order: 7:10 pm

In Attendance: Mark Baron, Suzanne Peyton, Susan Linehan, Lee Berkowitz, Pam Weir, Stacey Simons, David Levitan, Alan Bloom

Accepted as read.

Treasurer's Report

Bank balances as of 5/2/00 are: Checking $1813.52, savings $1187.33.

Old Business 

High School scholarships. Suzanne met to assure that our two $250.00 scholarships would be offered again this year.

New Business

Suzanne presented letters sent to Jeffrey Bowen of Starbucks and Senator JoAnn Sprague.

Elections: David Levitan served as the election coordinator. There are 62 active members eligible to vote. Twelve ballots were received.

All positions were voted to be shared positions.

Proposed to send out an intro newsletter to the SPED mailing list this summer for the fall school year.

Moved and passed to not do the Harlem Rockets this fall. Motion moved and passed to do a spring bulb fundraiser in the Fall.

Other Business

Proposed general meetings:

Wednesday June 7, July, August, September organizational meetings

Workshops in October, November.

Proposed to sell the inclusion pins at Family Week. Sue Linehan will call to find out the dates for Family Week.

Proposed workshop topics for the 2000/2001 school year include the new IEP, Jerome Schultz, Bob Brooks.

Over the next month we will try to line up Parent liaisons for Specialization Topics.

Town Election results: Mitch Blaustein, Jane Furr won for School Committee and the override passed.

Next Meeting Wednesday June 7 at the High School Library, 7:00 PM.
