Conferences
April conferences that may be useful for parents

SSEPAC will offer two scholarships each to SSEPAC members for the Federation for Children and the LDAM Conferences. Call 781/784-8316

Elections are Coming
You must be a voting member to participate. Nominations due by April 17, 1997. Elections to be held on May 13, 1997.

Legislation Issues
Chapter 766 is being reviewed by the House and Senate. We are keeping tabs on the committees and reports being submitted. We will keep members informed of events and hearings.

  Administration
We have an opportunity to work on the Sharon Special Education Handbook. Call 784-8316 as soon as possible if you are interested in serving on this subcommittee.

Donations
SSEPAC reviews books, videos and manuals for our Resource Library. When resources are determined to be of significant value, we donate copies to our schools. To assist SSEPAC in these endeavors, call 784-8316.

  Volunteers
We need help with the newsletter, the Web site, program ideas, book and video reviews, copying services, school liaisons, Public Library and the Abilities and Challenges programs at the elementary schools. Anyone with knowledge on grants and grant writing are also needed.

AD(H)D Parent Support Group
This group is now up and running. If you want more information or want to meet with other parents with similar issues, call 784-8316. We will get you the meeting schedule and the meeting location.
